a Woman and Wolves Retreat
in the Wet Mountains of Southcentral Colorado
Labor Day Weekend, 2018
Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Ph.D., author of Women Who Run With the Wolves, describes that “Within every woman there is a wild and natural creature, a powerful force, filled with good instincts, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing.” Her name is “Wild Woman.” And she dwells in that “place in time where the spirit of women and the spirit of wolf meet.”
This Labor Day weekend, 2018, gather with us on a wolf sanctuary in a remote wilderness setting in the Wet Mountains of southcentral Colorado and revive your own wild nature; for as Estés (1995) further explains, in the wild nature of woman is the “medicine for all things.”
While there is said to be burning visible in the eyes of the wolf from birth through death an indestructible “fierce green fire” (Leopold, 1949), this same light of life in women must be rekindled, stoked, and fanned to remain vibrant, full, and bright.
At Women Rising Wild you will experience the presence and power of wolves in facilitated contact with the animals and witness firsthand the charge of creative energy and wild intelligence so boldly alive in their spirited bodies. With attention on this mirror to your own potential we will journey together into the wild landscape of the feminine soul to rekindle our own inner fire and enliven the Wild Woman existing within us all.
With nature as your guide and the support of our facilitators and sisters by your side at Women Rising Wild, you will experience a deeper and more authentic expression of your own vitality and power as we:
Camp for three days and two nights in a remote wilderness setting • Restore a sense of wholeness and belonging through Deep Nature-Immersion • Learn Intimacy and Trust from Wolves • Experience Expanded States of Serenity • Invigorate Life Force with Dance, Yoga, and Moving Meditation • Give Life to Soul Voice as Wolves Howl • Cocreate a Unified Sacred Fire Circle • Reclaim Your Wild Medicine • Renew and Regenerate through Earth Ritual and Ceremonial Rebirth • Enjoy Organic, Gourmet Meals prepared in camp as a village to nourish your Wild Body Spirit
